COMPACT CAMERAS: A Review
Due to the success of our compact camera review last year, SUBMERGE presents a review of the top-of-the-line compact cameras and underwater housings released in 2009.
Each of the cameras tested is capable taking of good underwater images, but with its own individual selling points and unique functionality that will suit different users. Although this review is comprehensive, there are other models on the market available at a better price and that might better fit a user's specific requirements – other than the ones looked at in this review.

How we tested: Each camera was exposed to a series of test photos done on an underwater test rig. The cameras were tested for photo capabilities ranging from macro to wide angle. The tests included colour, sharpness, focus and lens distortion. Various settings for each individual camera were also tried and tested.
The cameras included in the review are: the Fujifilm Finepix F200, the Sea&ea 2G, and the SeaLife DC1000.
